Environment Day: Fondation La Collecte launches its Space Creation Service
In the absence of a larger home, reclaim the space you already have.
On June 5, to mark Environment Day, Fondation La Collecte officially launches its Space Creation Service, a new way of presenting home collection on demand.
The idea is simple: many citizens want to donate, de-clutter their homes, make an environmental gesture and support a social cause, but don’t always have the time, transport or energy to travel to a collection point.
Fondation La Collecte comes to them with its Space Creation Service.
This service allows citizens to free up space in their homes, apartments, basements, garages, closets or storage areas by donating clothing and small, usable household items they no longer need.
A space freed up in the home can become a concrete impact in the community.
Creating space without creating waste
The launch of this service during Environment Day is no coincidence.
At a time when we talk so much about over-consumption, clutter, waste and pressure on living environments, Fondation La Collecte offers a simple, accessible and humane solution: give a second life to usable clothing and small household items.
It’s not about getting rid of waste.
The idea is to circulate what can still be used.
Fondation La Collecte does not collect waste. It only collects usable clothing and small household items. This distinction is essential, because every donation must be able to be reused, recycled and have an impact.
Giving does not mean emptying and throwing away.
Giving means making room for what matters.
Home collection on request
The Space Creation Service is for citizens who want to donate, but need a practical solution.
It can be useful at many times of the year:
- during a major cleaning;
- before or after a move;
- when the season changes;
- after the holidays;
- after the start of the school year;
- when a family accumulates too many usable clothes, bags, shoes, bedding or small household items;
- when you want to de-clutter your space without having to move.
On-demand home collection turns an often-postponed task into a simple, practical and useful gesture.
You prepare your donations.
Fondation La Collecte picks them up.
Your space breathes.
Your donation continues to grow.
More space in your home. More impact for young people.
Behind every donated bag, there’s more than just a garment changing hands.
There’s a mission.
The clothing and small household items collected by Fondation La Collecte help fund the youth mentoring activities of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Montreal.
This is what gives the Space Creation Service its full scope.
Citizens create more space in their daily lives.
The Foundation creates more impact in the community.
And this gesture helps create more opportunities for the young people supported by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Montreal.
A simple gesture.
A liberated space.
A sustained mission.
Donation as an environmental and community gesture
Environment Day reminds us that big changes can also be made through small gestures.
Reuse what already exists.
Keep usable items out of the trash.
Reduce waste.
Promoting the circular economy.
Support a local cause.
Take part in a concrete chain of solidarity.
With the Space Creation Service, Fondation La Collecte wants to make this gesture easier, clearer and more accessible.
Because it’s not enough to ask people to give.
We also need to offer them a solution adapted to their reality.
The start of a wider ecosystem
The Space Creation Service is the first gateway to a broader positioning that Fondation La Collecte will gradually roll out.
Over the coming months, this approach will also be extended to other living environments: residential buildings, businesses, events, schools, seniors’ residences, outdoor containers and the Donation Centre.
Each part will have its own role.
Every environment can become a point of participation.
Every donation can help make room for more impact.
But today, the launch begins at home.
In wardrobes.
In basements.
In garages.
In overcrowded spaces.
In all those places where usable clothes and small household items are still waiting to be used.
Make room for impact
In the absence of a larger home, reclaim the space you already have.
With the Space Creation Service, Fondation La Collecte helps you free up your space, give a second life to your usable clothing and small household items, and support a mission that makes a difference in the community.
Today, for Environment Day, make a simple gesture.
Make room.
Pass on what you can still use.
Make room for impact.
